I get quotes from Ameritrade & wondering why Ameritrade INET book in QT doesn't work. It always gives 'login failed' error. I believe many others experience the same thing. I'm using WIN7 & very latest QT version. Thanks

hmm.  Doesn't work for me either. Login failed.  Guess is INet may be in a dif
situation now.  The option for TD Ameritrade Level II works and has a choice of
servers, which INet doesn't.  Perhaps that indicates Level II is the deal.
Did a google for "INet book" and most refs go back to 2006/2007 and earlier.
Jun '09 there was an issue, corrected, with QT and INet symbols.
But I'm guessing it's now a feed thing like either discontinued or merged as I
didn't see any other sources for it currently, from a fast look.
Let's see if QT guys comment on this.

I have learned that there is a known issue with the login stuff for INET Book in QT and Windows 7. But there is no fix for it yet.

Here's an update on the INET issue on Win 7 - there now may be a fix. Send an email to QT support support@quotetracker.com and reference this thread with a link and ask for copy of the version with the possible fix added into it.

Thanks ydfah.  Got the fix quickly.  Closed the running QTs.  Replaced stock.exe and for Nasdaq stocks INET works on Win 7 Ultimate x32.  Unlike the more informative AMTD Level II, whick has some niftly little arrows in center that point to latest trades, INET doesn't seem to fetch .OB stocks - nor Pinks I assume.  Just Amex, Nas & NYSE.
No sign of any login error issue.
Enjoy the Spring time.  Record high in NYC area on yesterday's last Winter day.
All glory to Fat Al.  Course had some record winter low temps & rainfall too!
