Not sure what you mean by "which of the above changes."

In general, the 3.8.4a version gets around update issues. User will get prompted to Allow or CANCEL Every time QT starts. That prompt is from Vista's UAC (User Access Control). If that UAC Prompt irritates you too much, turn off UAC by running the "User Accounts" in control panel.

the 2 choices are the ones in this Subject part.Turn off UAC or move QT files out of the program directory.Neither of these 2 am I really confortable doing. I use 3.8.4a,so I  will just click allow each time and I should be ok?Huh?Huh???
Thank You

1) I don't understand why you are not comfortable moving the QT folder out of the C:\Program Files folder since there is no downside. Having said that, you do not need to do this with the 3.8.4a version.

2) You do not 'need' to turn off UAC in 3.8.4a, though if it is on, you will get the prompt every time you start QT asking if you want to Allow or Cancel this application. If you don't care about the prompt, then just leave it on and everything should be okay.
