QT Samples

I'm new to QT and this forum. Downloaded and installed QT, registered as an Ameritrade client so I'm getting quotes, option chains, etc. Downloaded and ran the C# demo but consistently get "No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it". The demo login only gives option for port and that is set to 16240.

Any ideas?

1) You need to enable the API first - OPTIONS/Edit Preferences menu, MISC tab.
 
2) If you are an Ameritrade client, you are better off using TD Ameritrade API directly. You can email api@tdameritrade.com for it - Jerry Medved is in charge of that now.
