Option Chain Bug and 2 Other Fixes Coming.

For anyone that uses streaming option chains and noticed QT crashing - it isn't a coincidence.  Next beta will have a fix for a memory corruption issue that was found with option chains, as well as, Firstrada fix (datafeed change) and a fix for auto backfill sometimes not triggering.

Thanks for info ydfah.  To be clear about the backfill fix.
Is that for all datafeeds, or just Firstrade?
Funny, seems backfill is often on fix list.

The backfill fix is for all. The Firstrade fix is to adapt QT to a change in their data feed format...these are two different issues which are currently being addressed.

Backfill is a funny thing to stay on top of. When backfilling, QT has to absorb 2-10 (soon to be 20) days of data and sort it all out pretty much all at once. This is unlike intraday data that is processed as it comes in, instead of all at once.

Thanks muchly ydfah! Will look for the fix. I can see the issues with all that data flow on historical backfill.
Amazing it works as well as it does. Get so used to the intraday action, yet still a treat to see up to 20 days of action. Yow, lot to mentally factor in. Big picture and all that.

I have to clarify myself on the 20 days. It's already available in the beta version for TDAmeritrade clients. When I said soon to be 20 days, I was referring to it being permanently in a production version. Even then, the plan is still for it to be available only to TDA clients.
